Charity Committee supports Pink Ribbon

The Charity Committee raises money for Pink Ribbon

1 in 7 women gets breast cancer. That is why the Charity committee of JFV Ouranos has chosen to raise money for Pink Ribbon this academic year. This organization is committed to helping women affected by breast cancer in various ways. For example, they raise money for projects and research to prevent and better treat breast cancer. Everyone knows someone close to them who has breast cancer. It is therefore of social importance to pay attention to this and raise money for it. The Charity committee organizes various activities throughout the academic year to raise money for charity. These are the activities: 

- 7 november 2023: Bingo

We organise a bingo with sponsored prises. The proceeds go into the pot for Pink Ribbon.

- 21 maart 2024: Easterbrunch

We organise a brunch with sponsored food. The proceeds go into the pot for Pink Ribbon.

- Throughout the year: challanges

With every 100 euros that is raised, there will be challenges the charity committee has to fullfill.

1 op de 7 vrouwen krijgt borstkanker. Daarom heeft de Charity commissie van JFV Ouranos ervoor gekozen om dit academisch jaar geld in te zamelen voor Pink Ribbon. Deze organisatie zet zich in om vrouwen die getroffen zijn door borstkanker te helpen. Zo zamelen zij geld in voor projecten en onderzoek om borstkanker te voorkomen en beter te behandelen. Iedereen kent wel iemand in zijn/haar omgeving die borstkanker heeft. Het is dan ook van groot maatschappelijk belang om hier aandacht aan te besteden en hier geld voor in te zamelen. De charity commissie organiseert gedurende het academisch jaar verschillende activiteiten om geld in te zamelen voor het goede doel. Dit zijn de activiteiten:

- 7 november: Bingo

- 21 maart: Paasbrunch

Wij organiseren een brunch met gesponsord eten. De opbrengst gaat naar de pot voor Pink Ribbon.

- Het hele jaar door: Challenges

Bij elke 100 euro die wordt ingezameld, zijn er challenges die de charity commissie moet vervullen.
