What does Pink Ribbon do?
1 in 7 women will get breast cancer. Pink Ribbon is there especially for all these women. We raise money for projects and research to prevent breast cancer and to treat it better. We also do all we can to make life after breast cancer as pleasant as possible.
Pink Ribbon is part of KWF Kankerbestrijding. The money raised by Pink Ribbon is spent by KWF on breast cancer research and projects. Grant applications in the field of breast cancer research can be submitted to KWF. These studies are earmarked as being funded by Pink Ribbon.

Why does Pink Ribbon raise funds for breast cancer research?
Thanks to scientific research, more and more people are surviving breast cancer. But still around 3,000 Dutch people die every year from this terrible disease. More research is therefore still desperately needed.

How does Pink Ribbon choose its research?
Pink Ribbon receives research applications from scientists every year. Pink Ribbon is part of KWF Kankerbestrijding. The KWF Advisory Board, consisting of top national researchers and (former) patients, critically reviews all research applications for scientific quality, feasibility and relevance. What does the CBF hallmark mean?
The CBF is an independent body that has overseen fundraising for charities since 1925. The CBF aims to promote responsible fundraising and spending by providing information and advice to government bodies and the public. As one of the first charities in the Netherlands, KWF Kankerbestrijding received the official Seal of Approval from the Central Bureau on Fundraising (CBF) in 1996. As of 1 July 2016, the Quality Mark was converted to a so-called Recognition of Good Purpose. This Recognition is a guarantee for donors that they are dealing with a reliable organisation to which they can give with confidence. Read more about the CBF.

What is Marbella 4Days Walking?
Marbella 4Days Wlakings an annual walking event in Marbella. It is a four-day walking event but you can choose how many days you walk along.
How much does it cost to join?
- Online registration for all 4 days (including 4Days Fiesta) €85*
- Online registration for all 4 days (including 4Days Fiesta) €85* Online registration for 1 or more days €25* per day
*excluding €3.95 administration and bank charges.

No, the entry fee remains a donation to Pink Ribbon.

No, you can't. Pink Ribbon does not return donations. The donations you have raised contribute to new and important breast cancer research.

How do I register my team?
When registering, choose the number of tickets you want to buy. (Step 1).
In step 3 create a team and in step 4 add your team members. We need a name + email address from them to also create an action page for your team members. Don't want to create an action page for your team members or your team members don't have their own email address? No problem. Then choose ‘I manage this account’. You will then manage their tickets. We will not create an action page for your team members.
Can I swap my t-shirt?
Yes you can, based on availability. Bring your t-shirt to the event. At the merchandise stand, we can exchange your t-shirt.
I have created a team. Can I add team members later?
You can invite team members to your team via your dashboard. Your team members do buy a ticket themselves.
I want to join a team. How does that work?
Click on ‘join my team’ on the team page you want to join. Don't see this button? Then ask the team captain to invite you. You will then receive an e-mail with a link. Click on that link, complete your application and you can start fundraising together with the team.

We walk different distances. So can we form a team?
Yes you can. You can make a team in which participants walk different distances. Of course, then you don't walk together (all the time), but you are registered as a team.
Is fundraising mandatory?
No, fundraising is not mandatory. However, it is encouraged and greatly appreciated.
Can I register multiple participants at one e-mail address?
Yes you can. During your registration, choose the number of tickets you want to buy. In step 4, add team members, choose ‘I manage this account’. We then only need a name + walking distance of your walking partner.
Until when can I register for Marbelle 4Days Walking?
There is no end date. You can even register on the day itself at the festival site, but there will be an extra charge for this.
What is a general donation?
That means you donate directly to Pink Ribbon. So not to a fundraiser.
How do I donate to a fundraiser?
You can search by name via the search field at the top or the donate button. You can make a donation by iDEAL and by credit card.
What is the tax benefit of donating?
Your donations are tax deductible. More information can be found here (in Dutch).
€0.40 will be added to my donation. Why is that?
There are costs associated with this convenient action platform. Think hosting and transaction costs, for example. Pink Ribbon tries to raise as much money as possible for cancer research. If everyone contributes an extra €0.40, this will help us to eliminate the costs of the platform as much as possible.
Donating via IDEAL does not work.

Can I register multiple participants to one e-mail address?
Yes, you can. You can buy tickets for multiple participants when registering. Choose ‘manage this account’ to register them with your e-mail address. We only need your walking companion's name + walking distance.
Why do I need to create an account with a password?
Every participant registers and gets a personal participant page. With this, you can easily raise funds for Pink Ribbon. Your sponsors transfer their donation directly to your page. This makes it transparent how much money we have raised.
Can I pay for my hiking buddy?
Yes, you can! When registering, choose the number of tickets you want to buy and create a team.
We ask you to provide at least the name of your walking buddy. We advise you to invite your walking buddy to also create a fundraising page. That way, together you can raise even more money for important cancer research. Don't want that? Then choose ‘manage this account’ and ‘do not create a fundraiser page’ when registering you and your team.
